2017 Season

Captain Brassbound’s Conversion

October 23, 2017

Pirates! Romance! Comedy! Revenge!

Shaw’s riotous and ironic comedy! The world traveler, Lady Cicely, arrives in Morocco with Sir Howard, the infamous London judge. We soon discover that the Englishman hired to guide these two into the dangerous hills, Captain Brassbound, has been waiting for years to extract revenge on this very judge and is none other than a legendary pirate! Surrounded by a spectacular array of wonderfully theatrical characters, Brassbound and Lady Cicely help each other redefine everything they’d previously believed to be true about the world around them…while she takes on pirates, an Arab army, and the entire U.S. fleet! This completely unexpected comedy by Bernard Shaw comes to you just in time for Hallowe’en!

These are unique Script-In-Hand performances with some of our country’s finest actors.
